Craft & Design at Harbourfront Centre is a special program unique to the arts community in Canada that assists recent graduates (or emerging artists with equivalent experience) in establishing their professional artistic careers. Artists-in-Residence can enjoy access to affordable studio space, receive mentorship, participate in exhibitions and be part of a supportive community. We are committed to helping you meet your career goals and thrive as a working artist in Canada.
Residencies are one year long and may be renewable for up to three years, with four available disciplines to choose from: Ceramics, Glass, Metal/Jewellery and Textiles.
We are now accepting applications for our summer and full-time program.
Terms of residency
Annual: One year contract for recent graduates, renewable up to three years.
Summer: Three-month scholarship contract for full-time, returning students.
Application deadline: Friday, March 11, 2022.
