Show + Sale Department Representatives
Are you a current AUArts student and interested in working as a mentor, and receiving special on-the-job training in events management, art installation, commerce platforms, and leadership?
This part-time, seasonal, on-campus position within the Students' Association might be right for you!

Contract Length:
September – December 2024
Hourly Pay Range:
$16/hr up to 75hrs for the semester.
Average hours are approximately 5-10 hrs a week. The workload will increase in November. Hybrid work possible but must be present for installation and Sale (November 11 – 17).
Reports to
Show + Sale Coordinator, Show + Sale Assistant
Core Objectives
· Assist the Show + Sale team in the development, installation, circulation and takedown of the sale and inventory.
· Act as the main point of contact for students submitting work within the department area (up to 25 artists per department)
· Upload department inventory and artist statements into the Show + Sale Shopify system.
· Attend weekly Show + Sale team meetings, training sessions, and the First Night Gala.
· Assist in the distribution of pertinent Show + Sale information pertaining to guidelines, deadlines, and invitations.
*Please note for Fall 2024 this position will require successful applicants to be available for 25 hours or more of in-person work at the AUArts campus during Reading Week (November 11-15, 2024).

The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated individual able to work alone and as part of a team. They are passionate about peer mentorship, working collaboratively and want to gain experience in art installation, event planning and arts markets.

Qualifications and Skills
· Must be a current AUArts Student.
· Effective prioritization and organizational skills.
· Able to lift 20 lbs. alone and 50 lbs. with a partner.
· Experience with Microsoft 365.
· Prior Show + Sale experience is considered an asset.
· Experience in basic art installation and event planning is considered an asset.
