Gallery Volunteer
Contemporary Calgary is seeking applications for Gallery Volunteers to assist our Front of House team!
VOLUNTEER AS A GALLERY ASSISTANT
Gallery Assistant Volunteers are responsible for supervising the gallery during regular operation hours, and supporting Gallery Attendant staff throughout the day. You will work closely with our Gallery Attendants, and become familiar with current exhibitions, while building your knowledge of Contemporary Art.
GA Volunteers will directly interact with visitors, responding to questions and concerns that they might have regarding the artwork and/or the gallery. You will report to the Visitor Engagement & Volunteer Coordinator. This position consists of 3-hour shifts on a weekly or bi-weekly basis (excluding periods of closure for installation and de-installation) and a renewable time commitment of 6 months.
