Street Characters Inc. is on the lookout for a Character Concept Artist to join our team for current and upcoming productions!
Role:
As a mascot concept artist you will be in charge of creating exciting, dynamic and detailed mascots that fit the needs of our clients. For this position, we are looking for a portfolio that shows a variety of your work, with a strong understanding of proportion, dimension and an ability to create a wide variety of designs (every character we make can't look the same).
Responsibilities:
· Collaborate with our Sales Team to understand the Client's needs
· Work directly with the Client to gain a clear understanding of needs
· Be able to translate their needs into a character unique to them
You will be a great fit on our team if…
· You are are proficient with a Wacom Tablet and Photoshop
· You communicate professionally and positively
· You are organized with good sense of time management skills
· You have a strong understanding of proportion, balance, perspective and dimension
· You have an eye for detail and good design sense
· You can incorporate feedback and direction received
· You present yourself professionally to our clients
· You have the ability to deliver work on time and meet set performance objectives
· You are motivated, hardworking and able to work in a fast pace environment
· You work creatively as part of a large or small group
· You have proven ability with problem-solving
· You are able to work on your own with little supervision
· VCD Character Stream Students are preferred
· You have a degree or diploma in arts which is relevant to this position

Job Types: As we are slower than usual due to Covid, this would start as a part-time position of 16 - 20 hours per week with the intent of it growing into a full-time position which it has been for over 20 years. We understand the need for flexibility for a candidate that may have current part-time or full-time employment and are willing to work with the successful candidate to maintain their current work if required.
