Show + Sale Department Representative
Reporting to the Show + Sale Coordinator, the Department Representatives act as the main point of contact for artists participating in AUArts SA Show + Sale’s Virtual Holiday Art Market (Nov 26 - Dec 3). This is primarily a virtual position with some on-site hours required. Priority is given to applicants who are current AUArts students.
There are multiple positions available including:
· 2D Products
· 3D Products
· Digital/Photo Products
Additional Department Reps will be hired depending on the number of juried artists participating in the sale.
Core Objectives:
· Support the development and coordination of Show + Sale
· Act as the main point of contact for students who submit artwork within their assigned cohort
· Attend weekly team meetings with the Coordinator
· Post and circulate Show + Sale guidelines, deadlines, announcements and invitations
· Host and mediate the virtual professional development sessions
· Attend virtual Show + Sale meetings and public Q+As
· Select and mentor conditionally accepted artists through the semester
· Assist artists with on-site packaging of sold products
· Assist the Show + Sale Coordinator in uploading product images and information onto Shopify platform
· Acquire and provide student and faculty feedback regarding future Show + Sale operations

Qualifications:
· Excellent planning and organizational skills with close attention to detail and function
· Communication skills, with the ability to deal diplomatically with a wide variety of people including artists, students, staff, faculty and the general public
· Ability to take initiative for coordinating and carrying out assigned projects
· Self-motivated individual who can effectively prioritize
· Knowledge of technical processes for one or more visual mediums
· A basic understanding of how different visual mediums are sold online
· Previous experience with e-commerce platforms, including Shopify, an asset
· Previous experience with packaging art of various mediums an asset
