Position Profile
The Marion Nicoll Gallery (MNG) Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the gallery, and for ensuring that programming is communicated and adequately promoted to the community.
Core Objectives
To oversee the day-to-day operations of the MNG, including budget management
To promote MNG programming with the goal of supporting community engagement
To ensure that programming procedures are conducted in an equitable manner and that programming is accessible to the membership
General Duties
Exhibition Submission Process
Oversee the Call of Submissions and jury adjudication of exhibition proposals and ensure that submission process is efficient and accessible to the community
Gallery Programming Coordinate all logistical aspects related to the exhibition programming of MNG spaces, including:
communicating with exhibiting artists, managing exhibition promotion, monitoring budgets and contracts, overseeing the installation and de-installation of spaces, and maintaining the MNG website.
Community Relations
Develop and maintain partnerships within the local, provincial, and national arts communities
Provide opportunities for membership feedback on gallery programming

Qualifications:
Excellent planning and organizational skills Interest or experience in non-profit galleries, artist-run-centers, curation, and contemporary art
Knowledge of Microsoft 365, including Teams
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of individuals
Experience working both within a team and independently
Demonstrated ability to oversee a project from planning to completion
Prior experience installing or working with a diverse array of artistic mediums considered an asset
Prior experience with Squarespace considered an asset
The Details
This is a paid 12-month contract position that requires approximately 10-15 hours per week at a rate of $18 per hour.
