Post Content: Banff Centre is excited to share that funding is available to support Canadian Indigenous artists in all our arts programs. The scholarship covers 100% of tuition fees, meals, and accommodation costs for Banff Centre arts programs.

Science Fiction 2025
Science Fiction is a self-directed residency that provides writers with the time and space to focus on their work away from the constraints of everyday life and take advantage of one-on-one mentorship opportunities with faculty, group discussions, as well as a community of artistic peers.
Program dates: September 8 – 19, 2025 | Application deadline: April 16, 2025
Kapishkum: Métis Gathering
Visual Arts Residency – Kapishkum: Métis Gathering is a five-week program fostering the exchange of ideas and knowledge among Métis artists, encouraging them to produce work that embodies the diverse and complex nature of Métis culture while addressing contemporary Métis-specific issues.

Adventure Filmmakers Workshop 2025
The Adventure Filmmakers Workshop is an exceptional chance for independent and emerging filmmakers to advance their skills under the guidance of two of the world’s premier and proven adventure filmmakers.
Program dates: October 31 – November 9, 2025 | Application deadline: May 28, 2025
Aknumustiǂis: Ecological Engagement Through the Seasons 2025
The five-week hybrid residency will engage 12 visual artists whose artistic practice includes land-based themes, environmental sustainability, Indigenous narratives of the land, and/or use of natural materials.

Jazz & Sonic Arts 2025
The Jazz & Sonic Arts program encourages early and mid-career jazz and sound artists to explore new directions in their artistic practice, become changemakers, and advance their creative potential as performers, collaborators, and creators.
