JURY
Judging is by an anonymous system which ensures fairness since the jurors have no indication of which student or which school they are viewing. There is no quota, but on average over the last 5 years approximately 200 works will be accepted into the show. Once selected in the preliminary judging, a second round of jurying will be held to discuss awards selection.
NOTIFCATION & ACCEPTANCE PROCEDURE
When the judging process has been fully completed, you will receive notification via email notifying you of which students were accepted into the show and if any awards were won. Accepted artists are required to complete a Loan Agreement Form for each work to be displayed.
Transcripts must be provided for all students accepted into the show. The transcript is used to confirm enrollment status and should reflect the professor and class from which the accepted artwork has originated. Students who do not have a transcript submitted will be removed from the competition.
Hi-Res Artwork will be requested only for the accepted entries. Final art will need to be formatted: 300 DPI, RGB, TIFF or JPEG, 6 inches on the longest side. The Society will be printing and framing all artwork in-house this year, with the exception of Animations and GIFs, which will be on display on their own monitors in the gallery. This year’s exhibit will be displayed in the Garden Gallery on the Third Floor, as well as in an online gallery.
