Post Content: We are a creative floral studio located in The New Blank building in Inglewood. We are a small business run by two female AUARTS Alumni. Our studio conceptualizes, builds and installs floral sculptures and arrangements for weddings, events of all sizes and special clientele.
We are looking for a studio assistant to fulfill the following duties:
- Floral Designing, vase arrangements and cut bouquets
-Processing incoming orders
- Customer service, answering phones and face to face sales
- Assisting on delivery, set-up and installations for weddings and events
- Cleaning duties including, cleaning buckets, coolers, taking out compost, recycling and garbage, sweeping
- Assisting studio owners as needed, this may include answering phones, emails, retrieving product from wholesalers and occasional assistance with social media
- Watering and caring for plants
Required Experience:
- Applicant must be able to independently design vase arrangements and cut bouquets consistent with our style, previous experience is required. Unfortunately we do not have time to train on this during this busy wedding season
- Applicant should be comfortable with a shared studio work environment, clean, respectful and personable
- Working in a floral studio can be physically demanding, applicant must be able to lift heavy buckets of flowers and water, and be comfortable standing for large periods of time
- Experience applying quick creative thinking in a fast paced challenging work environment is an asset for event set-up work
- Applicant must have a reliable vehicle and a laptop computer
- Applicant will often be working independently, they should be reliable, responsible and self motivated
- Creativity is a must
Availability
-Must be available on weekends
- Every Saturdays 12-5PM
- As needed, we can discuss availability
Pay $18 per hour for studio work, and $20-22/hr for wedding or event assistance
