Post Content: Our dynamic and ever expanding company is looking for an independent, self motivated, responsible individual to help us create some of the world's most iconic mascot characters. Our clientele include sports teams, schools and companies from all over the world including the San Jose Sharks, Miami Dolphins and the Chicago Bears.
Our costumes are in such high demand....we just can't keep up! So, if you have most of the following skills, we could sure use your help:
- Patterning drafting – ability bring a drawing on paper to life
- Sewing full fur bodies and outfits for our custom mascots based on illustrations unique to each client
- Experienced in following patterns and expertise in hand stitching
- Proficient with industrial sewing machines (straight stitch, serge, walking foot, etc.)
- Experience working with various fabrics (faux fur, foam, fleece, spandex, heavy nylon, broadcloth, etc.)
- Building props for costumes and drama productions (Think Comic-Con)
We'd love it if you have:
- Education in fashion design or costuming (Preferred)
- Production sewing experience or mascot/costuming experience (Advantage)
- Pride and care about producing some high quality stuff that will likely be featured in front of a huge audience
- Tenacity to meet deadlines
- Patience and an open mind to learn
- Desire to make a difference and have some fun doing it!
Equipment, tools and material will all be provided, and we let our "mascoteers" work independently in the TMC production studio during the hours you choose. BUT you must be able to finish the assigned projects by the generous deadlines we give you. You will get paid fairly for each high quality piece you create and compensation will range based on experience and proven ability.
