Post Content: The Renfrew Community Association is excited to announce this call for an artist (or an artist team) to create an intersection street mural at the corner of 5th Street NE and 14th ave NE. This is part of a traffic calming & place-making initiative supported by the ActivateYYC grant through the Federation of Calgary Communities.
This opportunity is open to artists living within Calgary. Participants must be legally entitled to work in Canada. We encourage applications from candidates who identify as part of racialized, Indigenous, and/or 2SLGBTQ+ communities.
Artist Fee of $3,000 includes: design, painting, site preparation, and all materials (paint, brushes, etc.). The Renfrew Community Associations will cover the costs of permits, and supply all volunteers.
