Post Content: Friday Sock Co. is a multifaceted small business operating in Calgary, AB, since 2015. We’ve grown to boast a catalogue of over 700 unique product designs and have a network of over 500 stockists across Canada and the US, as well as countries in Europe and as far away as Japan!

Exciting things are happening here and we’re looking for kind, reliable and well-rounded
people to join us on our journey. Currently, we have an opening for a Design Intern
for Fall 2023.

Our group of brands includes Weekday Candles, Made by a Potato, Little May Papery and Matchstick Boutique. While the projects for this role will mainly focus on Friday Socks, there may be opportunities to work on projects for some of our sister brands, too.

Successful applicants will work closely with the small design and operations team, executing on a variety of projects ranging from pixelated and vector drawings, mockups, to product development and social media content.

This position requires an open mind and heart, with willingness to adapt quickly, try a lot of different things and pitch in where needed. The Fall season is our busiest time of the year and we have a number of custom jobs that need to be turned-around in a quick timeframe.

Applicants will need familiarity and proficiency with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. Experience in InDesign would be an asset.

Beyond just designing, our interns will get real world experience of the inner workings of a small company including merchandising, inventory management, branding and marketing.

This is a paid opportunity based at our office in Calgary. Wages are $18 per hour, and perks include team outings and lunches on occasion, a laid-back environment, and lots of coffee and espresso!
