Okotoks Call for Artists
Okotoks Art Gallery Call for Submissions
Artists and curators are invited to submit proposals for the Okotoks Art Gallery’s 2024 Exhibition Program. Okotoks is a progressive town with a vibrant arts community. The Okotoks Art Gallery (OAG) reflects this wealth of creativity and dynamic energy. Located in the historic 1929 CPR Railway Station, the Gallery includes two gallery spaces for exhibitions, a gift shop featuring local and Canadian artisan wares.
Artist submissions will be reviewed by a jury comprised of art professionals in summer 2023 and successful applicants will be contacted in August or September 2023. Submissions must be received no later than Wednesday, May 31, 2023. Find more information and application details at www.okotoks.ca/art-gallery.
Nooks & Crannies Festival
Nooks & Crannies is a festival where artists create temporary site-specific installations in downtown Okotoks. This art festival sees artists repurpose and animate forgotten places with ‘forgotten’ materials, bringing public art to forgotten corners of downtown Okotoks. Individual artists and teams use recycled products to create installations that raise environmental awareness, animate spaces, and entertain audiences.
The 5th annual Nooks & Crannies Festival is now accepting artist submissions! Learn more and apply at www.okotoks.ca/nooks.
