Post Content: Hi!
I’m currently a student at AUArts, and have a 3 bedroom house that I rent with my partner. Our current roommate has to leave us around May-June so we’re looking for a clean, likeminded person to move in!
The house is located on centre street, close to The Rec Room and other businesses, and in a great spot for transit. The main floor has the dining space, kitchen, and living room, upstairs is where the bedrooms and shared bathroom is. It has an undeveloped basement that we use for storage, the laundry is done there as well. There is also a small backyard.

We have two cats, one of which is hypoallergenic, however due to their temperaments and the rules of our lease, we can’t have any more pets in the house. I currently use the third bedroom as an office/studio space that I’m willing to share if needed, I have a nice big drafting desk too that comes in super handy for working from home. All furniture in shared spaces has already been provided by myself and my partner (couches, kitchen table, etc) and we have a TON of plates, glassware, frying pans, and appliances, so you would only be responsible for furnishing your bedroom. (But again, if you have something you really wanna bring, we can talk and we have the basement for storage!)

Rent is split evenly three ways EXCEPT for the pet fees and parking fees, those are covered by my partner and I. Your half of the rent would be $707, the only utilities are internet and power, water is included in the rent. Internet is $25 per person, and power usually works out to no more than $50 per person. With our current roommate, we usually split groceries three ways, but that system doesn’t work for everybody so if you require something different that’s totally fine too!

We are pretty open people and we know living with people can be hard, so we prioritize communication and compromise over anything else. We want to make sure that everyone is having their individual needs met and if there’s a reason that need can’t be met fully, that’s where compromise comes in, so it’s super important to us that you’re willing to communicate and talk to us, especially about your needs in a shared living space.
