Post Content: I am excited to announce the first-ever Ukrainian Film Festival in Calgary! The festival will take place on April 4-6, 2025, at Globe Cinema.
This is a wonderful opportunity to experience some of the most outstanding works of Ukrainian contemporary independent cinema, along with panel discussions, and filmmaker Q&As.
From war-torn homes to new beginnings in Alberta, our program explores resilience, identity, and human connection. Witness the bond between people and their pets during the war, the journey of Ukrainian newcomers in Alberta, and the world of 1990s Kyiv through the eyes of its youth. Explore the emotional paradox of safety while a homeland is under siege and see how art helps navigate war’s realities.
Admission is FREE, but registration is required.
