We have an exciting opportunity for a student to join Big Rock for the summer. You are 3rd of 4th year student currently enrolled in a post-secondary creative or graphic design program. This is an excellent opportunity for a creative detail-oriented, organized, people-oriented candidate to gain some hands-on experience working in a public company. Reporting directly to the Director of Marketing and working with our Marketing team you will be a key contributor on the tactical implementation of the marketing strategies related to Big Rock’s portfolio of Beer, Cider and Ready-to-Drink beverages. Understanding and adhering to brand standards and working with internal stakeholders to assess needs and make recommendations you will create various pieces of work that are aligned to our corporate brand standards and strategy.
In this role you will:
- Support creative & marketing implementation plans.
- Design and production of various point of sale projects to be delivered as printed and
digital deliverables.
- Create artwork for existing brands that conforms to brand standards.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite programs (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, In-Design)
- Possess Strong typographic skills.
- Strong Visual design skills – layout, color, balance, communication hierarchy
- Ability to take files from design to print ready to be sent for digital and offset printing.
- Take part in design feedback sessions with teammates and iterate based on feedback.
- Attention to detail and good time management skills.
- Ability to articulate ideas to be clearly understood by both creative and non-technical peers & colleagues.
- Open mindedness and curios about design and current creative trends
- Ownership and commitment to excellent work
- Multimedia knowledge is an asset.
- Packaging design and 3D POS display design and asset
