Post Content: We are looking for a remote User Experience Designer who enjoys creating human-centered design that optimizes services, technologies and processes.
WHO WE ARE: We provide fresh UX/UI design services to tech companies to help unpack complex problems and take the stress out of developing software.
WHO YOU ARE: You ask, "why?" a lot. You know that feeling when an app doesn't work the way you expect it to, when it makes things harder, or when it looks ugly. You have experience in key UX activities of research, design and evaluation. You have a home office setup that is sufficient to run the required design software.
WHAT YOU'D BE DOING: You'll be helping to discover and shape requirements for prototyping design solutions and usability for tech software and websites. You'll be providing feedback and support to other designers. This includes application prototypes, UX storyboards, product roadmaps, UX research, user profiles, and UI assets.
SPECIFICALLY:
- Comfortable documenting daily tasks on Asana and collaborating on Discord, complete with working microphone and camera for any Discord VoIP discussions.
- Proficiency with design and prototyping tools: You should know your way around Figma and be able to create usable prototypes, user flows and wireframes. Knowledge with similar software is an asset (Adobe Suite, Google Tools, XD, etc).
High Value Skills: - Wireframing - Prototyping - User journeys - High-fidelity mockups - Responsive Design - Iterative design development - Analyzing user behaviour - Usability testing Beneficial Side Skills: - HTML, CSS, JavaScript - Confluence, Jira, Analytics - WordPress, DIVI, Webflow
LET'S GO: Please contact us with a brief portfolio item that demonstrates deliverables for a UX project. Consider submitting a full case study with a service blueprint or user flow, and high-fidelity mockups that explains your design choices. This is a paid position that requires approximately 40 hours per week at a rate of $19 per hour. We'd like to offer this as a contract-to-hire position, where we start you as a freelance contractor for two months to make sure it's a good fit for the both of us. Any questions, concerns or clarifications can be sent to Kaitlyn Cooper at k.cooper@studiocandg.com.
