Post Content: Calgary-based visual artist, Athena Cooper, is collecting your stories and photos to challenge perceptions around love and disability. This project is open to romantic couples where one or both partners identify as disabled.

As a young disabled woman, Athena struggled through doubt and insecurity in her search for a romantic partner. After meeting her husband 9yrs ago, she has realized that much of that struggle was caused by the lack of representation involving couples with disabilities. Through her exhibit, Athena seeks to celebrate the extraordinary, ordinary nature of these relationships through paintings of herself and her partner and digitally collaged photos and quotes from contributors.
