First Up with RBC XMusic

First Up with RBCxMusic is a series of 10-minute artist performances that will take place via Instagram over 3 weeks starting November 27. Selected participants will be paid a $1,000 CAD reward for their performance in light of the lack of live performance opportunities in today’s climate.  

Our first round was incredible with 100 emerging artists from all over Canada sharing their new music and discussion issues important to them. You can see it all on our RBCxMusic Instagram: @rbcxmusic

In order to be eligible, artists need to be between the ages of 18-35, devote at least 24 hours per week to their art and rely on performing and their music as a source of income.

First Up with RBCxMusic Community Workshops powered by The Remix Project  

As the First Up with RBCxMusic program continues to evolve, education and resource opportunities for our emerging artists remains a central focus. To that end, we are partnering with The Remix Project to bring a series of digital Community Workshop series to life. Over the course of 6 workshops, music industry experts will lead meaningful and relevant speaker sessions for emerging artists that ultimately will help them further build their careers as artists and navigate the music industry. 

Emerging artists from Round 1 and those selected for Round 2 will be invited to attend the workshops.
