Closing Date of Opportunity: November 15, 2024

Name or Organization: 17th Avenue Business Improvement Area

Post Content: The 17th Avenue Business Improvement Area is getting ready to kick off our month of Christmas and holiday festivities called Let's Glow. On December 1 at 4pm we will be "lighting up" Tomkins Park, the heart of the vibrant business corridor, with lantern/art pieces from Dylan Toymaker.

We want to invite the community to build their own lanterns with the assistance of local artists at four venues in our business corridor on December 1. Once the lanterns are made, all participants would come to Tomkins Park for the lighting of Dylan Toymaker's lanterns and take the opportunity to showcase their newly made creations.

The opportunity is open to four artists that would source materials, bring them to their respective workshop location (coffee shop, tattoo parlour, etc), teach the workshop and accompany the workshop participants to Tomkins Park for the lighting of everyone's lanterns. Artists will be paid for their time to source and purchase materials and host their workshop at one of the four businesses that have agreed to be a venue.
