Post Content: Award Eligibility: Open to All Majors 3rd or 4th-year students.
Award Criteria: Based on past student work and a brief statement. This is a paid creative opportunity to create artwork on a column at The Platform Innovation Centre for up to one year. The finalist must be able to complete the column artwork before November 21, 2022.
Award Value: Honorarium of $650 per student and supplies maximum of $150 per student.
Award Details: Award finalist chosen by The Platform Innovation Centre based on past student work and statement. Artists are invited to work in any medium or style applied to the front face of drywall columns that are approximately 30” (76cm) wide by (up to) 80” (203cm) high. Installations must be resilient enough to last for 12 months in high-traffic areas. Themes to consider in your statement: Growth and transformation / Action, invention or discovery / Imagining the future.
The Platform Innovation Centre is hosting Innovation Week from November 21-27 which will have hundreds of people coming through the building and will be a fantastic time to publicly debut your artwork.
