Show + Sale Greeters 

Come join the Show + Sale team for Fall 2024! Show + Sale is an artist-led program that provides AUArts students with opportunities to sell their artwork and learn professional skills. We are the Students’ Association’s largest and longest-running program, having been in operation for over 32 years.  

In our program, we pride ourselves on providing exceptional mentorship and meaningful professional development. Show + Sale artists don’t just sell their artwork; they gain the skills and confidence to make a sustainable living from their art practice.   

Employment Type:  
Casual contract position. Hourly wage (up to 15 hours).  

Contract Length:  
November 2024  

You have the option to work one or both full shifts, or shorter 4 hour shifts each day depending on your availability.  

First Night Fundraiser: November 15th, 3pm-10pm   

Saturday Family Day: November 16th, 9am-5pm  

 

Hourly Pay Range:  
$15 per hour  
Hourly wage (up to 15 hours).  

 Reports to  
Show + Sale Coordinator, Show + Sale Assistant  

Core Objectives  

  • Welcome guests as they arrive at the entrance points.   

  • Distribute informational materials to guests.   

  • Encourage donations.   

  • Provide an overview of the event and address any inquiries from guests.   

  • Promote the event to attendees.   

  • Serve as an enthusiastic ambassador for the event.   

  • Share the history of the event with guests. 

 

Who You Are  
The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated individual able to work alone and as part of a team. They are passionate about peer mentorship, working collaboratively and want to gain experience in art installation, event planning and arts markets.

  • Passionate about communication and networking 

  • Confident in a proactive approach to sales initiatives 

 

Preference will be given to current students and recent graduates of AUArts. Must be available for the full duration of the event including the evening of November 15, and November 16, 2024
