Bar Service
Looking for bar service at your on-campus event? AUArts SA is licensed and authorized to provide a mobile bar cart stocked with alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and staffed with a bartender.

Guidelines
To request a bar you must notify the AUArts SA office a minimum of 14 business days before the posted event date.
There is a 40$ service charge to use the bar.
Liquor can only be provided by the SA, and all bar revenue is absorbed by the SA.
The SA Bar is licensed and permitted in the following areas: The Main Mall, Cafeteria, Room 371 and The Boardroom. Alcohol is not permitted outside of these areas, including stairways.
Events are required to have security present (subject to a security fee) if the bar is scheduled for over 2 hours.
It is mandatory that patrons provide ID if they appear under 25, if they wish to be served alcohol.
Eligibility
You must submit an AUArts Event Form to Michael O’Neill with all relevant services signed for, including the SA Bar, which must be signed in-person by the SA’s Office Coordinator or Executive Director. This form must be submitted a minimum of 14 business days before the posted event date and is subject to approval.
For liability purposes your event must be hosted by a Student Group or by the AUArts Administration.
Give + Take Bin
The Give + Take bin is located outside of the SA office doors, and is available to access during campus hours. Unwanted items are put in the bin and can be taken by anyone for free. The bin is constantly changing, so there is always something new to find!
Guidelines
The Give + Take Bin is cleaned out weekly. Any items remaining in the bin at this time will be discarded.
Please do not put oversized items outside of the bin.
If the bin is full please refrain from overfilling or leaving items outside of the bin.
Kindly discard any objects that are clearly garbage/recycling/compost rather than discarding them in the bin.
Health + Dental Plan
Any student enrolled in 3 credits or more in any undergraduate program or educational program at Alberta University of the Arts is enrolled in the Health + Dental plan. For more information on the plan click here.

The Nest
Located on the fifth floor in AUArts, The Nest is a communal student space run and maintained by AUArts SA.
Poster Boards
AUArts SA hosts poster boards throughout the AUArts campus available for students, staff, and the public to use. These are intended to be where posters are placed. Please refrain from placing posters/fliers on trash cans, windows, doors, walls, pillars, or in stairwells.
Guidelines
Poster Boards are maintained on a monthly basis. Items that do not follow guidelines are subject to removal.
Posters/fliers must be approved and stamped by the AUArts SA office. The only exception to this is posters produced by AUArts and AUArts SA.
Do not staple or tape items to boards. Use the thumbtacks and pushpins at the boards.
Do not post items on top of AUArts SA or AUArts posters/information.
Postings will only be approved for 30 days. Please remove postings after designated posting period.
