Silent Club
Silent Club aims to promote mental health and wellness by helping people overcome low-distress tolerance through offering a safe and comfortable environment to experience group silence.
Hosted in the Writing Centre every last and/or second Friday of the month, unless otherwise stated on in-person postings.
We want to provide a unique space for people to practice staying present and composed in quiet, potentially awkward moments. In a world filled with constant noise, we want to help each other feel comfortable in moments of silence. This practice is aimed at those with low distress tolerance, as it offers a gentle approach to exposure in controlled safe space.
