Hosted by drag artists Dogiichow + Ultra Violet!

Dogiichow, Local trash gremlin, Low Brow PoMo Homo and discount Halloween Decoration come to life, Dogiichow is a celebration of outsider narrative and counter culture queerness. Out of drag Dogiichow is known as Felix/Bug They are a 2 spirit nonbinary artist originally from Prince Albert, Saskatchewan now living in Calgary, Alberta. They have a BFA in Drawing specializing in performance art and the link between queerness and horror. Their Drag is inspired by low budget horror and the muppets. In three words they can be described as Drive in Glamour. 

 Ultra Violet, Consistently shadow-banned across platforms, this naughty-ass drag king, queen, and everything in between will gladly confuse or please your nether…eyes. Founder of Satanic Cowboy Productions, they aim to support alternative trans-drag on-goingly. A crafty-thriftstore-drag-whore, @ultraviolet.drag , once described as a satanic fetish clown, will gladly sneak into your wet dreams and nightmares.

🐶 AUArts SA Presents Campus Therapy Dogs in partnership with Community Therapy Dogs Society! Visit RM 395 for pets and hugs on October 17th from 12:30-2. Canine therapy helps to give comfort in times of stress, anxiety and loneliness or if you need a little bit of sunshine.

Zine Workshop

Please join us in the MNG main space on Monday September 25th from 4-8pm for a zine workshop with Jillian Fleck! Learn about and practice making your own publications!

Jillian Fleck (they/them) is a multidisciplinary artist from Alberta, who creates comics and visual narrative, drawings, and their own inks. Their graphic novel Lake Jehovah was published by Conundrum Press in 2017, and their second graphic novel Cheryl will be released in 2024. Jillian has studied at the Alberta University of the Arts and the University of Dundee, and holds a Bachelors of Fine Arts as well as a Masters of Letters in Comic Studies. Their work has been published in numerous anthologies and zine projects, and they have shown their work at international comic events. Their comic work explores notions of queer identity, mental health, and the weird or uncanny.

All supplies will be provided by the gallery.
