Show + Sale Photo Doc Workshop Instructor (June 2021)

Summary:

Reporting to the Show + Sale Coordinator, the Photo Doc Workshop Instructor will develop and host virtual photo documentation sessions for students participating in AUArtsSa’s very first virtual Show + Sale!

Responsibilities:

·       Work with the Show + Sale Coordinator to develop three 45 minute photo documentation workshops for participating students.

·       Educate students on the importance of good photography when selling artwork online and demonstrate how students can photograph their artwork for sale on a budget.

·       Host photo documentation workshops on Teams during April and May. Workshops will be recorded for student use.

·       Answer questions students may have about photo documentation.

* Please note that this position is virtual and applicants need not have access to AUArts facilities. Applicants must own their own camera, editing software, and computer. Additional equipment can be provided depending on the nature of the workshops.

Qualifications:

·       Excellent lighting skills and experience with photographing products in a variety of environments

·       Excellent planning and organizational skills with close attention to detail and function

·       Previous experience with public speaking and/or instruction

·       Passionate about educating students on the importance of good photography

·       Self-motivated individual who can effectively prioritize

·       Previous experience with e-commerce platforms, including Shopify an asset

Terms:             

·       April 2021-May 2021 (virtual)

·       An honorarium of $400 will be provided

·       Schedule to be determined with Career Development Coordinator
