Erin and Andrew have over a decade of experience photographing weddings and live events. We created Our Lavish Guests because we saw a gap in photography coverage at weddings and wanted to provide classic black and white portraiture of wedding guests and loved ones who wouldn't normally receive portraits from the wedding photographer. First launched in 2018, Our Lavish Guests is now a preferred vendor at some of Alberta's top venues and we work with some of Calgary's top wedding planners and vendors regularly. We have done over 100 events and expect 2022 to be our busiest year yet. We are looking to train individuals who want to enter the live events business and have trained in the art of photography but haven't been exposed to the business side of the trade yet. We want to mentor individuals in how to run an efficient, profitable business while providing paid experience photographing live events. We wish we learned the business side of photography before we jumped right in ten years ago. So, we'd love to help motivated newcomers in building their own sustainable business that supports their lifestyle and helps them plan for the future. We believe there should be no such thing as a starving artist. Calgary has an incredible live events community we want to introduce you to.
