We are seeking a Visual Communication Student for our North American Headquarters (NAHQ) district, within our Canadian Buildings Division that is available for 4 months starting in May 2023. This is an in-person opportunity located in our Edmonton office.
As a Visual Communication Student, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our team by:
Responsibilities:
- Develops and maintains e-learning/video/print material by using custom coding, rapid-development tools, and existing templates.
- Records and edits audio and video.
- Completes graphic design elements, information, resources, and tutorials to support the learning curriculum.
- Completes Learning Management Systems maintenance tasks such as redirect pages, catalogue clean-up etc.
- Tests online courses, tracks and prioritizes bugs, and implements coding changes.
- Assistance with Service Now tickets and customer service inquiries.
- Assists with the development of standards and processes for efficiency and quality.
- Researches, makes recommendations for best practices and industry trends.
- Analysis of data to identify trends or impact.
- Works with various support teams to resolve incidents effectively.
- Applies the principles of time management to track tasks/deadlines for self.
- Communicates with immediate supervisor and provides regular updates.
Qualifications:
- Capable of working with Adobe Creative Suite, Audacity, Storyline Articulate 3, 360, and rise, Service Now, Cornerstone LMS.
- Ability to work independently and on a team by collaborating to tackle problems.
- Able to communicate verbally to other team members and groups.
- Able to build written documents such as tip sheets, or knowledge articles.
- Organizational skills, high level of detail orientation, and ability to multitask and prioritize conflicting deadlines.
- Able to assist with video shoots, teleprompter, and recording audio in the studio.
- Ability to think logically and analytically, and to constructively express ideas and concepts.
