GRAPHIC DESIGNER
The Graphic Designer is responsible for developing marketing and promotional materials to support the initiatives of AUArts SA.
This is a remote position reporting to the Office Coordinator.
Core Objectives…
The Graphic Designer contributes to the organization by fulfilling the following objectives:
To represent AUArts SA brand identity in communications materials
To design and develop promotional materials for related events, campaigns, and initiatives
To ensure that communications materials and related resources are accessible and effective in promoting the Association's goals
Assigned Duties...
Work closely with AUArts SA executive and staff members to translate their messaging concepts into marketing materials
Process graphics requests and submit proofs for review
Design clear engaging graphic communications for print and web including:
Print materials, including brochures, flyers, postcards, posters, and stickers
Digital materials including Instagram and Facebook images
Reports and presentations
Support the SA team members in developing engaging social media content and campaigns
Communicate with staff via the Microsoft Suite (Teams, Outlook)
Monitor and update communications calendar as needed via Microsoft Planner
Write reports as requested

Qualifications…
Education background with a focus on design, communications, marketing, or related areas
Experience or interest in non-profit artist run culture, arts education, and advocacy
Access to a computer and internet as well as the Adobe and Microsoft Suite
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple priorities
Intermediate experience with Adobe CS (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop)
Experience with After Effects an asset
Familiarity of Facebook and Instagram
Organized, with a knowledge of best practices for file management
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Competent navigating the Microsoft Suite, especially Microsoft Teams
Experience with preparing files for print an asset
