Post Content: Montgomery BIA - Chalk the Block Competition is the first of its kind in Calgary. This is a live chalk art competition with 10 competitors in each category - so your chance to win is 1 in 10! Second Prize is $500 . The competition begins at 11 am and you recieve a bag of pastel chalk on a 6'x 6' square space. You have until 4:30 pm to complete your work and then there will be 3 celebrity judges who will vote. There is also a People Choice Award which is a prize in the amount of $500 in gift cards from restaurants, grocery stores and gas stations and other merchants in the area. Registration fee for this event is $10 - thats it!
Your goodie bag when you arrive has a value of over $75 dollars in chalk, snacks and coupons from local businesses. There will be live music on stage, a beer garden for your friends to enjoy while you are creating your masterpiece - vendors and other entertainment.
