Post Content: Energyphile seeks a design student to assist with photo editing and design for creative content on the subject of energy. You will be responsible for working with the lead author to compile photographs of energy-related artefacts and related images and compile them into artistic and professional designs for a series of museum-type cards (called vignettes). You will have the support of the lead author, editor and manager throughout the process. This is a full-time, home-based 6-week paid contract position. Anticipated start date is July 15, 2022. The contract will conclude on August 31, 2022. Part museum, part library, part business school. Energyphile uses energy-related objects and infographics to explore our energy past, make sense of the present, and prepare for the future.

Responsibilities: β€’ Work with instructions provided by the lead author to edit photographs of energy objects and compile images into a design for a descriptive museum-type card (vignettes). β€’ Document all image sources and note licensing conditions, if any images are sourced outside of Energyphile. β€’ Work with lead author and manager to ensure brand quality and consistency. β€’ Produce polished, publication-ready image designs, consistent with the Energyphile image. Qualifications: β€’ Working towards or completion of post-secondary education in photography, digital media design, graphic design, or similar β€’ Self-directed and able to work independently β€’ Highly organized and detail-oriented β€’ Professional experience working with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator (editing photographs, creating images, designing image compilations) β€’ Preferably Calgary-based β€’ Professional photography experience considered an asset β€’ Interest in history, science, engineering, technology, energy or innovation considered an asset.
