Free Information Communication Technology (ICT) Training

AUArts Continuing Education has an exciting opportunity through one of our long-standing partners, Lighthouse Labs (LHL), to provide free information communication technology (ICT) training and employability skills building that could make a difference in the lives of those who may not otherwise have these types of opportunities or have been excluded from opportunities.

In partnership with Lighthouse Labs, AUArts School of Continuing Education is excited to offer 100 free Web Development Bootcamps, valued at $14 000 each, to women newcomers, 2SLGBTQI+, and unemployed people across Calgary and Alberta.

This program is presented as part of a federally funded consortium of educators, community partners and service providers, as well as employers, to boost technological literacy in Canada, particularly among marginalised or underrepresented audiences. We are also excited by this program because it allows us to connect art & design students to technology, while boosting the professional development of equity-deserving people in our community.
