Mural for Mental Health Program

The Carnat Centre is a high acuity mental health program for adults with schizophrenia and/or schizo-affective disorders.

We are located in a space on the 3rd floor of an office building, across the street from the Peter Lougheed Hospital. In our client areas we do not have any windows/natural light and consequently can't liven the space with much in the way of greenery.

Our clients are amazing. They work so hard to be well, and deserve to come to a space that feels light and hopeful. It would be wonderful to have a mural of a natural (green) space in our main waiting area- something that symbolizes the hope of the journey our people are on.

We are looking for an artist or a group of artists who would consider donating their time to create such a mural. This project would benefit so many people from all across the city, and make a real impact on the mental health of both our clients and staff.

Your art would be published on the Alberta Health Services website, accessed across the province by AHS staff and available for access by all other Albertans.
