Photo Documentation Team
Are you a Photography major looking for an industry standard paid opportunity that will help you build your portfolio and connect you with the AUArts community? Then come join our Photo Doc Services Team!
This academic year, the SA is excited to introduce brand new Photography Services for our programming, including but not limited to Show + Sale, the Marion Nicoll Gallery, and the Hear/d Residency.
We are looking for a core team of 3-5 photographers to join us and undertake various shoots throughout the semester. The team will be expected to shoot a variety of assignments, including studio product documentation, environmental documentation and portraiture. Assignments will be given based on experience, availability and personal shooting style. All photographers will be given mentorship and direction by the programming team to help grow their skills.
Available Assignments
Exhibition documentation for the Marion Nicoll Gallery (MNG):
o Document a variety of physical exhibitions and installations at the on-site MNG locations
o Deliver images to the MNG and to the respective artists
Show + Sale Daily Hive Lifestyle Shoot (Oct 16-17):
o Collaborate with the Show + Sale Coordinator to develop a branded lifestyle shoot with art products for a Daily Hive article and the online shop
o This position requires off-campus travel within city limits
Subsidized Photo Doc Days (Nov 12-14):
o Work as a team to provide 255 “background to white” 2D, 3D, and wearable artwork documentation for Show + Sale Artists and AUArts students
o Photographers must demonstrate experience with the “background to white” technical process to be considered
o Photographers will also be responsible for providing staff and artist headshots during one of the shoot dates
o All lighting and backdrop equipment will be provided
o Deliver images to the Show + Sale team and respective artists with a tight turnaround
o Shoot dates to be determined based on student demand

Qualifications
· Have own camera, lenses, computer, and Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop
· Experience with studio and/or environmental photography
· Intermediate lighting skills
· Have excellent editing and file management workflows
· Ability to meet tight deadlines and adapt to situations
· Ability to take initiative for coordinating and carrying out assigned shoots
· Self-motivated individual who can effectively prioritize
