The Calgary Police Youth Foundation is a charitable organization that helps keep our city’s most
vulnerable children safe from crime and victimisation. The Programs and Community Initiatives
funded by the Calgary Police Youth Foundation focus exclusively on early intervention, crime
prevention, risk reduction and education. In any given year, the Calgary Police Youth
Foundation supports over 30,000 children. We endeavor to enrich and improve every young life
we touch. To achieve this goal, we are hiring an administrative assistant (Seasonal) to join our
team for up to eight weeks beginning 26th May 2025.
Position: Administrative Assistant (Seasonal)
Start Date: Monday, May 26th 2025 (subject to satisfactory security clearance)
End Date: Friday, July 18th 2025
Wage: $21.00/hour
Status: Full-time, Contract
Supervisor: Susan Cron, Executive Director
This is a temporary 8-week contract position, funded by Canada Summer Jobs 2025.
Eligible applicants must;
• Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the beginning of the employment period.
• Have a valid SIN number.
• Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has
been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of
the employment.
Administrative Assistant (Seasonal):


The Calgary Police Youth Foundation (CPYF) is seeking a Seasonal Administrative Assistant to
support our busy summer event season. CPYF hosts dozens of community events during this
time, which require detailed planning, coordination, and on-site support. Reporting to the
Executive Director, this role will provide both event-related support and general administrative
assistance to the CPYF team. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, are highly organized and
detail-oriented, and can juggle multiple tasks at once—we’d love to hear from you! This is a
great opportunity for someone who enjoys dynamic work and being part of a mission-driven
team.


Responsibilities:
• Attend external community events organized by CPYF set up, staff the informational
table, and represent the organization throughout the event. This role requires
occasional weekend availability and the ability to commit to multi-hour shifts.
• Conduct inventory checks of campaign and event materials, and ensure storage rooms
are clean, organized, and well-maintained.
• General admin tasks to support team including printing and preparing materials for
fundraising and community events.
• Update supporters contact information into CRM Database
• Any other duty as required.


Requirements:
• High school diploma
• Demonstrated ability for excellent customer service and building relationships.
• Excellent communication, computer, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently.
• Computer applications expertise, e.g., MS Office, Excel, Word
• Excellent time management and organization skills
• Meticulous and skilled at multitasking
• Able to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends as required.
• Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality.
• Some travel will be required to attend events.
• A valid driver’s license and use of personal vehicle for some business is required. Some
heavy lifting, up to 25 lbs is required with this position.
Employment is conditional on a satisfactory security clearance.
